Smart Lamp with Google Assistant

Today, we use our voice to control everything from our phones to our TVs. With the advent of powerful voice assistants like Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Siri it has become really easy to interact with our electronic devices. We can send a message or change the temperature of the AC without moving any muscles. These virtual assistants make it really convenient to interact with all of our devices.

Most of the newer consumer IoT devices being sold today support at least one of the three voice assistants mentioned above, but what if you wanted to integrate your old electronics or one that does not support any smart functionality with these assistants? In this guide, we will show you how easily we can use Google Assistant or Alexa with any electronic gadget that we want. As an example, we will control an LED connected to the Arduino through the Google Assistant on our phones.
